• Why a Headshot Day?

In a world of selfies, outdated profile pics and bad AI, a quality headshot / portrait goes a long way. It tells your story in a split second—whether you're networking online, pitching yourself, or building a brand.

• What to Expect

When you arrive at the studio (location and parking info sent before session), you’ll get a quick hello, a few lighting tests, and then we’ll jump right into creating a few great looks in 20 minutes or less. I’ll guide you through simple, flattering poses—no modeling experience required. Please be camera ready!

• What to Wear

Dark, solid colors photograph best. No stripes. No florals. No patterns. Formal Suit? Sure! Button down? Sure! Casual T-shirt? Sure! It's YOUR photo. (Makeup tips are below!)

No. Not for this session or location.

• Can I Bring a Prop?

Want to bring a little personality into your headshot? You're welcome to bring a small prop—something about the size of a laptop or smaller—that reflects who you are or what you do.

Here are a few ideas to spark inspiration:

• Creatives – paintbrushes, sketchbook, camera, tablet, headphones

• Professionals – laptop, business book, branded mug, planner, glasses

• Students – notebook, graduation cap, textbook, school merch

• Entrepreneurs – product sample, logo card, business tool

• Tech folks – keyboard, mouse, code printout, gadget

• Therapists & coaches – journal, mindfulness tool, quote card

• Healthcare workers – stethoscope, ID badge, small model or tool

• Realtors – small house sign, giant key, clipboard

• Pet lovers – tiny toy, leash, favorite photo (no live pets, sorry!)

Keep it simple, portable, and meaningful—I'll make sure it fits naturally into the shot!

• I don't want a portrait, but can you photograph my product?

I'd love to! If you have a product on Amazon, Etsy, Ebay, Shopify, bring it in! Size restriction will be limited to roughly 3' on the longest side. Also happy to provide some pointers for product photography during the 20 minute session.

• Makeup Tips

Makeup Tips for Your Headshot Session:

• Keep it natural. The goal is to look like your best everyday self. Stick with matte foundation, subtle contouring, and light eye makeup that enhances rather than transforms.

• Avoid heavy shine. A little translucent powder goes a long way to prevent unwanted glare, especially on the forehead, nose, and cheeks.

• Skip SPF and high shimmer. Foundations with SPF or luminous finishes can reflect light and create unwanted highlights in photos.

• Lip color matters. Bring a natural lip color — something that complements your skin tone without being too bold. A touch of gloss is okay, but matte tends to photograph better.

• Grooming counts. Tidy brows, and clean, moisturized skin will all make a difference on camera.

• How can I view and download my photos from the shoot?

The 2+ photos will be on a password protected website for you in 2 business days. This digital delivery is the only product from the session - no prints. I will retouch 2 of our favorite photos and upload a few more!

Of course! My pricing for on-location company portraits is simple. $50 per headshot / group shot, with a $400 minimum.
